Anchorage is a very fun place and full of adventure. You may hike Flat Top and enjoy the beautiful city view from there. You can go skiing at Alyeska Resort and enjoy a day full of activities. The Downtown area has a huge farmers market which is open in the spring and runs through the fall. Lots of homemade Alaskan items and some fun music to make the day enjoyable. In the Winter we have the winter carnival to start the Fur Rondy events and then the famous dog races. Did you know that the first dog mushing here in Alaska represented the need to reach a small community of Nome where there was a need to get medicine to the community to save lives?

We have many lakes in which to play in and dare I mention 6 Mile Creek where you can raft and enjoy the day with the scenery around you. Our Downtown is very fun with the moose roaming through the city and making a very interesting photo opportunities for you.

Our housing market is very stable and we also have a strong military community here at JBear. Eagle River is our bedroom community and a very fast growing community. There in the summer you will find the Bear Paw festival fun for the family and just getting out to meet your neighbors. The schools are first class and we have many immersion programs in the community along with many different churches. We are diverse and it is a great place to work, play and call home.
